The Weeknd presenta el videoclip de ‘Gasoline’, otro de los temas de su recién publicado álbum “Dawn FM”, su nuevo disco de estudio que ha llegado dos años después de su anterior producción, “After hours”.
‘Gasoline’ ha sido compuesta por Abel Tesfaye con Matt Cohn & Oneohtrix Point Never y producida The Weeknd & Oneohtrix Point Never, contando con un video musical dirigido por Matilda Finn que representa al artista caracterizado como un anciano que, tras su muerte, se enfrenta a sus demonios en una metafórica espera en el purgatorio a la espera de la llamada celestial, encontrándose con su «yo» más joven con el que pelea.
“Dawn FM”, lanzado casi por sorpresa (se anunció sólo 4 días antes), es el quinto álbum de The Weeknd. Un trabajo discográfico con producción ejecutiva por The Weeknd, Max Martin y OPN, en el que están implicados Jim Carrey, Quincy Jones, Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne y Oneohtrix Point Never. Se incluye también los singles ‘Take my breath’, canción estrenada el pasado mes de agosto, y ‘Sacrifice’, estrenado simultáneamente con el disco completo. Ahora acaba de lanzar una Edición Alternate World con el añadido de 3 pistas: su colaboración ‘Moth to a flame’ con Swedish House Mafia, un remix de ‘Take My Breath’ junto a Agents Of Time y otro de ‘Sacrifice’ con Swedish House Mafia.
Tras la exitosa etapa de “After hours” (2020) y el recopilatorio “The highlights” (2021), el canadiense Abel Tesfaye de The Weeknd estrenó colaboraciones con Rosalía en la exitosa ‘La fama’, con Swedish House Mafia en ‘Moth To A Flame’, con Post Malone en ‘One Right Now’ o con FKA twigs en ‘Tears in the Club’. Por otro lado, la plataforma de streaming HBO Max anunció la 1ª temporada de ‘The Idol’, la primera serie en la que el cantante será el protagonista y que cuenta con la colaboración de Sam Levison (Euforia) así como del propio Abel como co-creadores de la serie.
