La cantante estadounidense Lana Del Rey presenta el videoclip de ‘Arcadia’, tema compuesto y producido por ella y Drew Erickson. Es un nuevo adelanto de “Blue banisters”, su segundo álbum para 2021 tras “Chemtrails over the country club” y su tercer trabajo en menos de un año, ya que en julio de 2020 publicó su audio libro “Violet bent backwards over the grass”.
Su octavo disco “Blue banisters”, anunciado al principio con el título de “Rock Candy Sweet”, tiene prevista su publicación a finales de octubre si no hay nuevo retraso. En mayo de 2021 Lana del Rey estrenó simultaneamente como anticipo tres canciones: ‘Blue banisters’, ‘Text book’ y ‘Wildflower wildfire’. Las dos primeras compuestas junto a Gabriel Edward Simon, quien produjo el tema que da título y co-produjo «Text book» junto a Zachary Dawes (The Last Shadow Puppets, Mini Mansions). Y la 3ª fue compuesta por ella junto a Mike Dean (Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé), quien además la produjo.
La artista comenta sobre su nuevo trabajo discográfico: «Supongo que se podría decir que este álbum trata sobre cómo era, qué pasó y cómo es ahora. Si estás interesado, regresa y escucha las tres primeras canciones que publiqué. Narran el comienzo. Esta canción suena en algún punto intermedio y cuando el disco se publique, oirás donde estamos hoy. […] Nunca sentí la necesidad de promocionarme o contar mi historia, pero si estás interesado, este álbum lo cuenta y no hace prácticamente nada más».
Lana Del Rey, también compositora, poetisa, modelo y productora, destaca por su música de estilizada calidad cinematográfica y vintage con temas de romance trágico, glamour y melancolía con referencias a la cultura pop (particularmente a los Estados Unidos de los años 1950 y 1960). Su incursión en el mundo musical comenzó actuando en clubes de Nueva York a los 18 años y firmando su primer contrato discográfico cuando tenía 20, publicando su debut “Lana del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant” en 2010 que fue un fracaso.
Pero en 2011 su sencillo ‘Video Games’ se hizo viral, consiguiendo el éxito internacional con su segundo álbum “Born to Die” (2012) y el single ‘Summertime Sadness’ así como los temas ‘Blue Jeans’, ‘Born to Die’ o ‘National Anthem’. Posteriormente llegaron “Ultraviolence” (2014), “Honeymoon” (2015), Lust for Life (2017) y “Norman Fucking Rockwell!” (2019). El pasado mes de marzo publicó “Chemtrails over the country club”, para el que volvía a contar como en el anterior (“Norman fucking Rockwell”, 2019) con la producción de Jack Antonoff.
