El cantante canadiense Shawn Mendes está de regreso con un nuevo single titulado ‘It’ll Be Okay’ acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. Es un posible adelanto de su próximo álbum.
‘It’ll Be Okay’ es una balada que ha sido compuesta y producida por Johan Lenox, Shawn Mendes, Eddie Benjamin, Mike Sabath & Scott Harris. El vídeo musical fue grabado en su ciudad natal Toronto (Canadá) donde aprovechó la estación de invierno para sacar tomas emotivas. Es el segundo tema que publicó a finales del año pasado, tras ‘Summer of Love’.
Desde el estreno de la canción el pasado diciembre, los fans han especulado que la canción fue escrita para su ex novia, la cantante Camila Cabello, de la que hace unas semanas anunció su ruptura sentimental mediante un comunicado en sus redes sociales. «Espero que sea porque hay algo de verdad en la canción y encontréis honestidad en ella. Me siento muy agradecido de que conectéis con ella y os divirtáis escuchándola», comentaba Shawn.
Este nuevo videoclip llega mientras se ultiman los preparativos de ‘Wonder, The World Tour’, la gira con la que Shawn Mendes por fin recorrerá el mundo en 2022 presentando su último álbum publicado a finales del 2020, “Wonder” (el cuarto en su carrera, anticipado por los singles ‘Wonder’ y ‘Monster’ a dueto con el también canadiense Justin Bieber), y que pasará el 14 de mayo por el Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona, el 15 de mayo en Bilbao (Bilbao Exhibition Center de Baracaldo) y el 20 de mayo por el WiZink Center de Madrid.
