El joven actor Joshua Bassett presenta ‘Lie lie lie’, su nuevo single acompañado del correspondiente videoclip, publicado vía Warner. El tema estará incluido en su EP debut homónimo que lanzará próximamente.
‘Lie lie lie’ ha sido compuesta por Joshua Bassett y producida por el dúo AFTERHRS, que han trabajado con la banda One Direction y las carreras en solitario de sus miembros. Una canción pop con estribillo pegadizo que se ha llenado de rumores debido a que ha sido lanzada casi a la vez que la de su ex-novia, la también actriz y compañera de serie Olivia Rodrigo con ‘Drivers licence’, como posible respuesta a aquella.
“Compuse ‘Lie Lie Lie’ después de que descubrí que alguien cercano a mí había estado mintiendo sobre mí a mis espaldas durante mucho tiempo. Siempre apesta escuchar que alguien en quien pensaba que podía confiar, puede traicionarte cuando más le beneficia. Nos pasa a todos, y creo que todo lo que puedes hacer es buscar personas que te fortalezcan en lugar de derribarte”, ha comentado Joshua Bassett.
El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Gus Black, destacando los cambios de vestuario de Joshua Basset y de escenario. Pocos días después de su estreno, cuenta con más de tres millones de visitas y ha entrado en la lista de tendencias en Youtube.
Este sería su tercer single tras lanzar el año pasado ‘Common Sense’ y unos meses después ‘Anyone Else’, temas que se esperan estén incluidos todos en «Joshua Basset», su EP que publicará en marzo. También en 2020 lanzó ‘Just For A Moment’ con Olivia Rodrigo, entre otras canciones que le han llevado a acumular casi 100 millones de streams totales.
El también actor Joshua Bassett es conocido por su papel protagonista como Ricky Bowen en «High School Musical: The Musical: The Series» de Disney+ y a Aidan en la serie «Atrapada en el medio» de Disney Channel. Hizo su debut en 2017 en la serie «Lethal Weapon» y se le ha visto en otros productos televisivos como «Game Shakers», «Grey’s Anatomy» o «Dirty John».
