La joven cantante Billie Eilish, tal como anunció hace poco en sus redes sociales, acaba de publicar nuevo single ‘Therefore I Am’ que ya se encuentra disponible en las principales plataformas digitales, estrenando simultáneamente su videoclip correspondiente:
‘Therefore I Am’ está producida nuevamente por su hermano Finneas O’Connell, habitual en sus canciones, y con letra de ambos. El tema parece tener una clara inspiración filosófica, desde el propio título (traducido ‘Por lo tanto soy’) hasta su portada, en la que un busto blanco de estilo clásico se rompe referenciando a René Descartes, autor del famoso «pienso, luego existo». Su videoclip ha sido dirigido por la propia Billie.
Este es el tercer single ya que publica sin nuevo álbum, tras ‘Everything i wanted’, ‘My future’ y ‘No Time To Die’ (su canción para BSO «James Bond – Sin tiempo para morir»). En su habitual discreción, Billie Eilish apenas ha dado detalles de estas nuevas composiciones, aunque este último de ‘Therefore i am’ es el que más apunta como posible adelanto de su trabajo discográfico más completo.
La también compositora estadounidense Billie Eilish fue la absoluta ganadora de los últimos premios Grammy (se llevó 5 e hizo historia al ganar con 18 años las 4 categorías más importantes: mejor nuevo artista, disco del año, canción del año y grabación del año). Se espera con expectación el sucesor de su álbum “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” (2019) que tuvo un enorme éxito debido sobre todo al single ‘Bad Guy’.
Por otro lado, «The world’s a little blurry» es el nombre del nuevo proyecto de Billie Eilish conjunto con Apple TV, un acuerdo sellado por más de 25 millones de dólares que se estrenará en febrero de 2021 y donde se podrá descubrir cómo nace una estrella mundial en la música. Un documental ha sido dirigido por R.J. Cutler bajo la producción de Interscope Films, Darkroom, This Machine y Lighthouse Management and Media.
