‘Something In Your Eyes’ es el nuevo single de la banda pop británica Steps, el segundo sencillo adelanto de su nuevo álbum ‘What The Future Holds» que se lanza en noviembre y que ya puede preordenar. Lo presentan con el siguiente videoclip:
En realidad no es original de Steps, sino una versión/cover. Es una canción escrita por Thomas G., Henrik Sethsson y Erik Bernholm, interpretada por la cantante pop sueca Jenny Silver para la primera semifinal del concurso Melodifestivalen 2011 que organiza Suecia para seleccionar su tema para el Festival de Eurovisión cada año.
La elección de este sencillo eurovisivo ha traido su polémica, ya que algunos miembros de Steps, dijeron hace poco que Eurovisión «simplemente no es el lugar adecuado para nosotros» y lo descartó como un «concurso político». Naturalmente, muchos fanáticos de Eurovisión todavía se sienten molestos por esos recientes comentarios, más cuando la versión se mantuvo fiel al original.
‘Something In Your Eyes’ llega después de que el grupo británico estrenó su primer sencillo ‘What The Future Holds’ (compuesta por Sia), igual título que el álbum, el sexto ya en la carrera de Steps, que se publicará el 27 de noviembre en CD, vinilo rosa, vinilo con imágenes y casetes de miembros individuales.
