El cantante estadounidense Charlie Puth presenta ‘Light switch’, su nuevo single acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. Es un adelanto de su tercer álbum de estudio, “Charlie”, que se publicará a lo largo de este año.
‘Light switch’ es un tema pop que ha sido compuesto y producido por el propio artista junto a sus colaboradores Jake Torrey y JKash. El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Christian Breslauer (que ha trabajado con The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Bebe Rexha, Karol G o Lil Nas X). “Charlie” será su tercer álbum con fecha de lanzamiento pendiente de confirmar y podría contener alguno de los temas estrenados tras su anterior disco: ‘Free’, ‘Hard on yourself’ con blackbear, ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Cheating on you’, ‘Mother’ o ‘I warned myself’.
«A nivel de composición, ha sido muy guay compartir esta canción con mis fans mientras la hacía. Así ellos sienten que están involucrados desde el principio de la canción, es casi como si la hubiesen escrito conmigo» comentó Charlie después de mostrar fragmentos de ésta durante meses a sus casi 15 millones de fans en TikTok.
Charlie Puth inició su carrera musical en 2016 con el lanzamiento de “Nine Track Mind”, su álbum debut con éxitos como ‘One Call Away’, ‘Marvin Gaye’ o ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ con Selena Gómez. Dió continuidad con “Voicenotes” (2018) con hits como ‘Attention’ y ‘How Long’. También ha destacado en colaboraciones con 5 seconds of summer, Gabby Barrett, Lenon Stella, Haywyre, Blackbear, JVKE, Sashg Alex Sloan om más recientemente, junto a Elton John con la canción ‘After all’ del álbum “The lockdown sessions” del británico.
