La legendaria banda sueca ABBA presenta ‘Just a notion’, el tercer avance de su próximo álbum de regreso en 40 años, “Voyage”, tras los anteriores adelantos lanzados el mes pasado, ‘I still have faith in you’ y ‘Don’t shut me down’.
Björn, componente de la banda, ha comentado: «el tema se grabó en septiembre de 1978, lo que parece correcto. Eso lo sitúa entre ABBA the Album y Voulez-Vous. Ahora Benny ha grabado de nuevo la música, hemos añadido batería y guitarras, pero todas las voces son las de la grabación original de 1978.’Just a notion’ es una canción muy optimista ¡esperamos que sirva para animar a todos en estos tiempos oscuros!».
“Voyage” será su noveno álbum de estudio, tras meses de especulaciones, y se pondrá a la venta el próximo 5 de noviembre. Es su primer trabajo discográfico cuatro décadas después del lanzamiento del anterior, “The Visitors” (1981). Una colección de diez nuevas canciones grabadas entre 2018 y 2020 en el estudio de Benny -Riksmixningsverket- en Estocolmo.
Este lanzamiento vendrá acompañado de un show en directo en un nuevo recinto de Londres para la primavera de 2022 en el que los cuatro miembros de la banda (Agnetha, Björn, Benny y Anni-Frid) aparecerán transformados en avatares holográficos (realizados por el equipo de Industrial Light & Magic, la compañía de George Lucas) junto a una banda de músicos reales.
Con casi 400 millones de álbumes vendidos en todo el mundo y 17 éxitos #1, entre otros éxitos, ABBA (acrónimo formado por las primeras letras del nombre de cada miembro) es uno de los grupos musicales más exitosos de todos los tiempos y cuyo debut fue ‘Waterloo’ en 1974 para el Festival de Eurovisión de ese año quedando ganadora. Se separaron en 1982 pero su conocido recopilatorio “ABBA Gold”, lanzado originalmente en 1992, sigue siendo un éxito de ventas.
