Lady Gaga y Tony Bennett vuelven a colaborar en ‘Love for sale’, el segundo single de su nuevo álbum conjunto (de igual título) con lanzamiento programado para inicios de octubre y que viene acompañado del correspondiente videoclip.
Lady Gaga ha comentado: «El día que lanzamos ‘Cheek to cheek’ en 2014, Tony Bennett me llamó y me preguntó si quería grabar otro álbum con él, esta vez celebrando las canciones de Cole Porter. Siempre me siento honrada de cantar con mi amigo Tony, así que, por supuesto, acepté la invitación». Este segundo single da continuidad a ‘I Get a Kick Our of You’, el primer anticipo, y fue compuesta por Cole Porter para el musical “The New Yorkers” (1930) y fue interpretada por Kathryn Crawford, siendo posteriormente versionada por numerosos artistas.
“Love for sale” será el segundo álbum conjunto de Lady Gaga y Tony Bennett, se publicará el próximo mes de octubre y llegará tras el éxito del anterior publicado hace 7 años bajo el título de “Cheek to cheek” (2014). Se compondrá de 10 cortes (12 en la deluxe) interpretando composiciones de Cole Porter (1891-1964) y ha sido grabado en los Electric Lady Studios de Nueva York, con Bennett diagnosticado con la enfermedad de Alzheimer en el momento de las sesiones y coincidiendo con su 95 cumpleaños. Estará conformado tanto por duetos entre Gaga y Bennett como por temas interpretados por ellos solos.
Para el estreno, Gaga, ha preparado un concierto en solitario (sin Tony Bennett por su retirada de los escenarios por prescripción medica) vía streaming que podrá seguirse a través de la plataforma live.wetfield.com, de forma gratuita el 30 de septiembre. La también actriz publicó su último estudio en 2020, “Chromatica”, con singles destacados como ‘Stupid Love’, ‘Rain On Me’ (con Ariana Grande) o ‘911’. Tiene pendiente de estreno para noviembre la película “La casa de Gucci” del afamado cineasta Ridley Scott, inspirada en la historia real del emporio familiar tras la legendaria firma de moda italiana.
