Las cantantes australiana Kylie Minogue y estadounidense Gloria Gaynor presentan ‘Can’t Stop Writing Songs About You’, su single en colaboración que viene acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. El tema está en la reedición del último álbum de la primera, “DISCO” .
‘Can’t Stop Writing Songs About You’ es un tema pop con beats disco que fue coescrita por Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen, Iain James y Sinéad Harnett con producción por Daniel Davidsen & Peter Wallevik. En el vídeo musical se puede ver a las dos artistas con estética retro muy acorde al sonido disco del tema.
Es el tercer single, tras ‘A second to midnight’ con Years & Years y ‘Kiss of life’ con Jessie Ware, de la reedición Guest List Edition de “DISCO” que se lanzó en noviembre del año pasado, el 15º álbum de Kylie Minogue con el que alcanzó su octavo #1 en U.K. e hizo historia como la primera artista femenina en tener un álbum nº1 en UK en cinco décadas consecutivas. Asimismo, la artista celebró los 20 años de su exito “Fever” con otra reedición en vinilo.
Por su parte, la legendaria Gloria Gaynor es una diva de la música disco y soul, siendo conocida principalmente por el clásico ‘I Will Survive’ de 1978, así como por ‘I Am What I Am’, ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ o versiones de ‘Can’t Take My Eyes off you’ y ‘The Eye of the Tiger’. También destacó en 2008 en España por el dúo con Miguel Bosé para su álbum de duetos Papito, ‘Hacer por hacer’.
