La banda de indie-rock Imagine Dragons presenta ‘Enemy’ su tema para la BSO de la serie de animación “Arcane, League of Legends” que cuenta con la colaboración del rapero J.I.D y el siguiente videoclip.
‘Enemy’ fue producida por el dúo de compositores y productores suecos Mattman & Robin (Nick Jonas o Celeste), quienes también trabajaron en dos temas del último álbum de la banda, “Mercury – Act 1”. Un tema que también aparece en la banda sonora de “Arcane”, la serie de animación basada en el universo de “League of Legends”, el título debut de Riot Games que se lanzó en 2009 y se convirtió en uno de los juegos de PC con más jugadores del mundo. En el vídeo musical los componentes del grupo han sido animados respetando el estilo gráfico que se ha planteado para la serie, integrándose con algunas imágenes inéditas.
«‘Enemy’ trata sobre conciliar el conflicto interno en un mundo en el que parece imposible confiar incluso en uno mismo», comenta Dan Reynolds, vocalista del grupo, añadiendo: «En ‘Arcane’, la vida lleva a ‘dos hermanas’ por caminos diferentes y conduce a una división que amenaza con destrozar toda una ciudad. Al igual que la serie, la canción intenta ser a la vez personal y crítica con una sociedad que parece empeñada en dividir a las personas». No es la primera vez que la banda hace una canción para el juego, ya que n 2014, colaboraron con Riot Games para una canción exclusiva para los campeonatos mundiales de “League of Legends: Warriors”.
Imagine Dragons es un grupo estadounidense formado en 2009 por Dan Reynolds (vocalista), Daniel Wayne Sermon (guitarrista), Ben McKee (bajista) y Daniel Platzman (baterista) que ganó reconocimiento mundial con el lanzamiento de su álbum debut “Night Visions” (2012) al que siguieron “Smoke + Mirrors” (2015), “Evolve”(2017) y “Origins” (2018), con singles destacados como ‘It’s time’, ‘Radioctive’, ‘Demons’, ‘Believer’, ‘Thunder’ o ‘Natural’.
A finales del 2019, tras una intensa gira, habían decidido tomar un descanso para dedicarles más tiempo a sus familiares. Con más 40 millones de álbumes vendidos, 50 millones de canciones vendidas en todo el mundo y 60 mil millones de streams combinados,ha sido el grupo de rock más vendedor de la pasada década. El pasado mes de septiembre publicaron su nuevo disco, “Mercury – Act 1”, con la colaboración del reputado productor Rick Rubin.
